Nufarm Australia Limited has responded to the Australian horticultural industry’s need for improved worker safety by introducing a new pack size for a key product in the range, Microthiol Disperss.
“Legislation in most States has placed more responsibility on the horticulture industry for improving safety conditions for workers on farms,” said Australian Horticulture Manager, Guy Perriman.
“Resellers will already know Microthiol Disperss, the wettable sulphur fungicide, miticide and insecticide, which is well established in horticulture.
It controls vine mite and powdery mildew in wine and table grapes, black spot and powdery mildew in pome fruit, brown rot and rust in stone fruit and brown citrus rust mite and white louse scale in citrus.
“It is well known for its low dust formulation and its superior dispersion and mixing in the spray tank.
“Nufarm has improved the packaging of the product by reducing the size of the bag from 25 kg to 15 kg it is now safer lifting and handling.”
Mr Perriman said that Microthiol Disperss new pack was an example of how Nufarm listens to its resellers and farmers to solve real issues in the orchard and the paddock.
“Nufarm does its best market research listening to customers on the ground. It is the farmer’s concerns in the orchard and paddock, relayed to us by our customers, which assist and direct Nufarm in research and development.
“Nufarm product development is therefore tailored to meet the needs of the Australian farmer by offering value in the product choice, as is the case with Microthiol Disperss.
“Resellers and farmers who want to choose quality Australian crop protection products and services need look no further than Nufarm.”
Microthiol Disperss will be available to Nufarm distributors in the new 15 kg pack size from May 2006.
