26 October brings the ABARES Regional Outlook conference to Darwin

ABARES  (the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences) is bringing its Regional Outlook conference to Darwin on Wednesday 26 October.  The one day event is designed to update local rural and agricultural communities on industry trends, news and forecasts and the programme has been tailored to the Northern Territories.  

The Darwin Outlook conference is one of seven Regional Outlook conferences being held by ABARES in each of Australia’s states throughout 2011.   The one day conference will give NT locals the opportunity to hear from regionally based speakers and ABARES presenters, as well as entering in to discussion, on a diverse range of topics of national and regional interest, such as:  

  • commodity forecasts,
  • industry trends and information,
  • new approaches to traditional issues,
  • global economy – local impacts,
  • toward more productive primary industries,
  • operating in a changing environment, and
  • developing business opportunities in the region.

The ABARES Darwin Regional Outlook conference will feature 4 sessions and 12 thought provoking speakers, delivering local agricultural data and innovative business practices.   

The Outlook conference also offers a fantastic opportunity to network and make new contacts in the local community and region.  

The regionally tailored program of speakers and discussion panels is being held in Darwin Regional Outlook on Wednesday 26 October at Tracy Village Social & Sports Club, Wanguri, Darwin.
