AGCO Australia Presents Valtra A Series Tractors Now Available with Open Cab
Valtra A Series tractors are now available with open cabs. Customers can choose from 74-, 88- and 98-horsepower models. Valtra is a leading brand of the AGCO Corporation who also own brands Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Gleaner, Iseki and Challenger.
All open cab models come with three-cylinder SisuDiesel engines, whereas the A85 and A95 models with enclosed cabs come with four-cylinder engines.
The turbocharged engines in the open cab models have a viscous fan that reduces noise and provides enhanced cooling for the engine in hot conditions.
The cooling capacity of the open cab A Series models is sufficient for outdoor temperatures of up to 50 degrees centigrade.
The two biggest models also feature air-to-air intercooling of the charge air.
The lower front wall of the cab features glass that reduces noise and dust around the driver.
The glass also directs hot cooling air from the engine away from the driver.
Customers can specify their open cab A Series tractor with either a fixed or foldable roll cage.
An optional sun cover can be fitted to the fixed roll cage.
A downward-facing exhaust pipe can also be specified on open cab tractors.
Models equipped with the foldable roll cage and downward-facing exhaust pipe are ideal when working, for example, in orchards or manoeuvring indoors in low spaces.
An open cab model has been eagerly awaited ever since the launch of the A Series.
The open cab A Series will be sold in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and other countries where there is significant demand for open cab tractors.
Around 10,000 open cab tractors in the 60-100 horsepower range are sold each year in Southern Europe. The new open cab A Series is available in agile rear-wheel-drive and powerful four-wheel-drive formats.
The four-wheel-drive version weighs 3350 kilos and the rear-wheel-drive version 3120 kilos.
