AGCO’s Valtra Offers ISOBUS Couplings on N, T, M and S Series Tractors
Valtra is offering an optional ISOBUS package on N, T, M and S Series tractors consisting of couplings and connections for a monitor, ISOBUS couplings for implements on the rear linkage and an ISOBUS Control Unit for transmitting data from the tractor’s sensors to the ISOBUS enabled implement unit.
Valtra is a leading brand of the AGCO Corporation who also own brands Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Gleaner, Iseki and Challenger.
ISOBUS couplings cab also be optionally fitted to the front linkage. Inside the cab the ISOBUS controls are situated on the right-hand B-pillar, where the Implemant Signal Interface is also located.
The optional ISOBUS package does not include the ISOBUS monitor
ISOBUS is a standardised system for communicating and sharing data between tractor and implement.
The ISOBUS system can transmit data from the tractor’s sensors for use by the implement or other ISOBUS equipment, and it can control implement functions.
All operations are controlled from a single monitor screen inside the cab so it is unnecessary to install different Control Units for each implement.
The implement also takes power from the ISOBUS coupling, so no separate power cables are needed.
A CAN bus is used to transfer data, allowing many types of information to travel along the same cable.
As a result tractors and implements fitted with ISOBUS systems can operate just as efficiently as self-propelled machines but usually at a lower overall cost.
As a result of standardised couplings and the single monitor, connecting ISOBUS implements is clean and easy.
The ISOBUS system also provides benefits for farmers using precision farming methods as it makes data input and downloading simple.
ISOBUS increases efficiency, facilitates working, and improves the overall quality of work.
