Accuweigh  recently supplied a truck wheel wash to SITA’s Advanced Resource Recovery Facility at Raymond Terrace in New South Wales.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s Newcastle branch, the fully automatic truck wheel wash was recently commissioned for SITA to wash all vehicles leaving the plant to eliminate trackout onto public roads.
Designed to thoroughly clean the wheels, tyres and underbodies of vehicles without an operator, the AccuWash truck wheel wash offers automatic operation with the wash cycle initiated by a sensor detecting the vehicles as they approach the wheel wash.
The wheel wash is also fitted with a hydrocyclone centrifugal separator to remove the silt, sand and dissolved solids from the used water collected in the water holding tank. Water quality is further improved before reuse with an optional disc filter fitted to remove very fine particles from the water, eliminating potential pitting of vehicle paintwork and damage to underbody components by suspended particles under high pump pressures.
The DTW-241 wheel washer also features an automatic sludge scraper to remove sludge, soil and large organic material from the water holding tank during every wash cycle. The sludge is discharged into an external collections bin for removal by a forklift or end loader.
Accuweigh offers suitable and cost-effective wheel washing solutions for various truck wash applications. The company’s network of eight branches across all mainland states provides superior product support on all truck wheel wash systems and wheel wash baths.
