Accuweigh ’s QWM branch recently fitted a remote display to a weighbridge for Arkwood Organics at Cecil Plains. The remote display allows truck drivers to check their truck weights before accessing the unmanned weighbridge.

This Arkwood Organics plant at Cecil Plains using the remote display receives truckloads of waste byproduct from Gold Coast Waste Treatment Plants which is then distributed to local farmers for improving soil conditions.

The external remote display is positioned on the office of the weighbridges and therefore allows the drivers to see their truck’s weight readings from within the truck. For double trailer combos, the truck is split weighed by taking two weight readings with to allow the weighbridge software to process the entire truck/trailer weight.

The large digit remote display uses high visibility 120mm red LED’s to display the current weighbridge weight reading and is visible in both broad daylight and at night at distances up to 100 m.
