Wheel Loader Scales Minimises Waste For Boral

Wheel Loader Scales were recently installed onto a front end loader at Boral Asphalt’s Williamstown plant in Victoria.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch, the Wheel Loader Scales are being used to precisely measure aggregate into trucks for transportation to locations where asphalt repairs are needed.

Until the Wheel Loader Scales were installed, the amount of aggregate loaded into each truck was based on imprecise estimations, though this regularly resulted in the need to dispose of the excess aggregate after road repairs were completed. The Wheel Loader Scales now allow the operators to precisely measure the total weight of aggregate material that is being loaded into each truck.

When loading different materials over multiple trucks and days, the 8000i Wheel Loader Scales use an internal database for tracking the entire weight of aggregate used on each job.  At the conclusion of each shift, all weight records from the Wheel Loader Scales can be downloaded to a PC and Laptop.

As well as having the ability to weigh in static mode which requires the operator to pause momentarily while each bucket is being raised, Accuweigh’s 8000i Wheel Loader Scales also are able to weigh dynamically while the bucket is being raised for emptying into the truck.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has eight branches Australia wide fulfilling all clients’ needs in industrial weighing applications.
