Armdale  is well-known for producing lambs that are noted for their early maturity, meatiness and large frames. Armdale was established in the year 1938. The complete Dorset Horn stud was transferred to the Poll stud in the year 1957. Garry established the Armdale Park Poll Dorset stud in 1981. The combined studs at present encompass a breeding strength of more than 1,000 stud ewes, making them one of the largest studs in Australia. Armdale and Armdale Park are committed to the continued success of the prime lamb industry, and strives to continue as leaders in both the commercial and stud fields, out of which Poll Dorset's sire excess of 75 percent of the prime lamb market.

The studs of Armdale, boast an annual lambing percentage in excess of 150 percentage, giving clients a further value for money. Various clients are now using Armdale and Armdale Park rams more than Merino ewes with outstanding results, both in the yards and over the hook. Meat buyers also recognise the quality of Armdale and Armdale Park sired lambs. The meat buyers of Armdale source their genetics both privately as well as through the saleyards. Both Armdale and Armdale Park studs have dominated the Australian record Flock ram price ever since 1998.
