The start of 2013 has seen a combination of hot, dry weather conditions, dangerous fuel levels and strong winds which has set the scene for a bushfire holocaust with several properties and homes being severely affected.

Dam's, tanks and swimming pools are the usual essentials for bushfire emergencies but it is vitally important that  a reliable fire pump is in the frame too.

A unique range of reliable engine drive fire pumps have been developed by Australian Pump Industries to cater for these bushfires. The Aussie Fire Chief is simple, robust, high performance pump which comes in either a single or twin impeller version. With it's efficient pump design, the pump can produce pressures of up to 100psi and flows of up to 450 litres per minute.

Used by major government departments and fire fighters throughout Australia, the pumps are also accepted in both Europe and Africa. Some areas of South East Asia too.  The fire pumps are governed by a genuine 5.5 hp Honda petrol engine but can also be supplied with Yanma or Kubota engines. Considered as one of the worlds finest lightweight portable pumps, they come with a conveniently located carry handle for ease of movement.

The pumps heart is a 7" one piece and the self priming feature ensures that the pump primes, first time every time. A vertical suction lift of up to 7.6 metres , which enables the operator to draw water from wells, streams or dams and is critical for fire fighting.
