Supplier News

BSF Charolais  stud specialise in breeding polled curve benders. BSF Charolais use artificial insemination method and embryo transfer method for their breeding process.

The top curved bending sires are used in the breeding programme of the stud. BSF Charolais follow culling process in case the cows lack good mothering abilities. BSF Charolais believe that the culling process at the time of weaning period is mandatory for delivering the top genetic breeds. The cattle satisfy the requirements of the commercial beef producers as they are born easy and grow fast.

The breeding programme of BSF Charolais produced spring calves despite the drought condition in Australia. Cows and sires of BSF Charolais are bred from top genetics. The selection process follow strict guidelines. BSF Charolais is more cautious in choosing the female cows that are used in the breeding programme. The stud chooses the elite female offsprings and uses them for their breeding programme.

A bull named, BSF X Factor, from BSF Charolais was selected by the Thailand Government to lead a Thai beef herd improvement programme. The cross breeding programme will build up the quality of the native cattle. BSF X Factor was selected for his low birth weight and good growth curve.
