F S Falkiner & Sons operates the Boonoke , Poll Boonoke and Wanganella Merino Studs in Australia. The ownership of these three Merino Studs has resulted in the emergence of F S Falkiner & Sons as a leading company in the Australian wool industry.

In addition to operating the Boonoke, Poll Boonoke and Wanganella Merino Studs, the F S Falkiner & Sons business comprises of enterprises that deal in breeding ewes, Merino ewe prime lamb mothers and Hereford breeding cows of Ironbark blood. Apart from this, the company is managing a predominantly irrigated summer and winter cropping program.

The Boonoke Merino Stud flock comprises of over 2,000 breeding ewes. Boonoke undertakes an AI programme annually to produce around 500 to 800 special stud ewes. Boonoke Merino Studs has the ability to produce big quantities of medium micron wool.

Breeding programmes from Boonoke incorporate strategic genetic introductions and techniques. For over 15 years, the Boonoke Merino Stud has been producing sheep, with a focus on the softness of the wool. Apart from refining the wool, Boonoke concentrates on other essential features such as extensive wool cuts and frames.
