In 2002, the State Government and Brisbane Market Corporation Limited sold Brisbane Markets to Landacq Limited which is today known as the Brisbane Markets. Brisbane Markets consists of 150 industry shareholders including Brismark which is the major shareholder.

Brisbane Produce Market is one of the important centres in the state for marketing and distributing fresh fruits and vegetables. An extensive range of fruits, vegetables and flowers are supplied by Brisbane Produce Market to wholesalers, secondary wholesalers, retailers, food processors, transporters, exporters, industry organisations, market support businesses and many more.

Brisbane Markets offers Brisbane Markets Commercial Centre which has a range of businesses including a post office, butcher, food outlets, National Australian Bank branch, stationers and packaging supplier, fresh fish shop, exotic fish shop, a hairdresser and barber. The commercial centre also incorporates an office and learning centre for the Oxley Creek Catchment Association and the office of Brisbane Markets.
