Brocburn Dorper Stud  offers wooled Dorper breeds which require easy care and low labour input. Dorper and the White Dorper have been developed by Brocburn Dorper Stud from crosses between Blackhead Persian ewes and Dorset Horn rams. The black headed type is referred to as the Dorper and the complete white type as the White Dorper.

Dorper breed sheds its covering of wool and hair annually. The degree of shedding may have difference in Dorpers shedding completely or Dorpers retaining fibre on the back.

Good shedding ram is used by Brocburn Dorper Stud for crossing to increase wool, hair or fibre shedding ability in his offspring. Dorpers have a thicker skin and are resistant to fly strike. Dorpers from Brocburn Dorper Stud require no shearing and has no mulesing and no crutching.

In addition to shedding wool, Dorpers from Brocburn Dorper Stud are excellent mothers and easy lambers.
