Grain and oilseed merchandise from Cargill Australia
Cargill Australia provide Australian grains and oilseeds for their own manufacturing purposes as well to the outside market. Cargill Australia joined hands with GrainCorp Operations to establish the Australian Grain Accumulation Services (AGA).
The original grain products of Cargill Australia are wheat and feedgrains such as sorghum and barley. The oilseed varieties include sunflower, soybean, canola and cottonseed, while the protein meals are soybean meals and palm kernel meals.
Cargill Australia use different products for their processing. Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated sunflower oil, canola oil, soybean oil and cottonseed oil are used to process alkali and crude refined vegetable oils. Hull pellets and cottonseed hulls are used to process the fibre products of Cargill Australia. Cargill Australia use sunflower meals, canola meals, soybean meals and cottonseed meals for processing their protein meals.
Cargill Australia also market sweeteners, texturisers, starch, and nutritional and health products. Food products include maltodextrin, native maize, tapioca starch, alginates, pectin, Dextrose Monohydrate and Anhydrous lethicin, steviocides and plant sterols.
Since 2000, Cargill Australia have been operating their separate cotton marketing unit to offer services to cotton growers. In 2002, the cotton trading unit was named Cargill Cotton.
