Case IH introduces JXU series tractors

JXU series tractor

Case IH  has introduced the new generation of JXU tractors. Built for versatile performance across a range of farming operations and particularly suited to dairy and livestock operations, the JXU series will also appeal to local authorities and grass cutting contractors.

Transmission and power
All three models – which range from 63 to 78kW (86 to 106Hp) are powered by a rugged, economical 4.5L Case IH engine with a rated speed of 2,300rpm.

The JXU 85, 95 and 105 models are available with a range of specifications to suit different operations and a choice of either ROPS or cab version.

Equipped as standard with a power shuttle for clutchless and lever free direction changes, the transmission is available with 12 or 24 gears.

The 24 speed transmission features a power shift for higher productivity and on-the-go shifting, eliminating the need to use the clutch.

Available with manual or electronic draft control with a maximum lift capacity of up to 5,851kg, the JXU is ideal for lifting the heavy implements.

“Economic power is assured with the JXU’s efficient transmission,” said Case IH Marketing Manager, Stuart Brown.

“The direct drive system of the JXU guarantees excellent power delivery to the PTO by avoiding unnecessary transmission gears and shafts.” Maximum torque at 1,300rpm is rated at 366Nm on the JXU 85 with a 40% torque rise available.

“For operators choosing the JXU 105 model, maximum torque is rated at 425 Nm which reduces the number of times an operator may need to shift gear to maintain engine or PTO speed,” Stuart Brown added.

Economy guaranteed
A further highlight of the range is its economical operation. “When compared to larger, semi-powershift tractors in the same horsepower range, the JXU is both more economical in terms of purchase price and ongoing operation,” explained Stuart Brown.

“All models are 100 per cent biofuel compatible, offering purchasers the flexibility of fuel sourcing now, and in the future.”

“The JXU has a retail price around 15 per cent less than larger tractors with the same PTO power, making it a more economical purchase option for many operators.”

Ease of use and maintenance
When it comes to ongoing maintenance, the one-piece rear tilt hood lifts to reveal all engine components for fast inspection and servicing. The battery and radiator are located at the front and a slide out condenser simplifies radiator cleanout.

With a new screen at the front of the radiator, the cooling system remains debris free for optimal cooling and reduced fuel consumption.

The screen can be easily removed for cleaning, making the JXU particularly useful for hay and slashing operators. The 600-hour oil filter service intervals further extend uptime, while lowering operating costs.

On-the-move gear shifting through eight speeds is effortless using the right thumb switch mounted on the speed lever all without using the clutch pedal.

“Around the yard or in the field, the JXU is remarkably maneuverable with a tight turning radius making it easy to negotiate gateways and stockyards,” Stuart Brown said.

The JXU range is also designed to match perfectly with the LSX32 and LSX35 front end loaders. Designed and produced in Australia, the LSX front loaders have been ruggedly tested to provide many years of reliable operation in Australian conditions. All Case IH loaders are self-levelling to comply with the TMA Code of practice.

“The end result is a versatile and economical tractor range with the power to handle a variety of farming tasks and with guaranteed easy servicing and maintenance over the life of the machine,” Stuart Brown said.
