Case IH  have been helping out farmers and agriculturists, around Australia this crop season by supplying a specialist mobile parts service.

Case IH has fully kitted out its Pro Harvest trailer to help to its support dealers supplying local growers and contractors with the more unusual parts that they need to maximize productivity with the predicted bumper crop throughout the eastern states this season.

This year’s total Australian wheat crop has been estimated at 25.2 million tones, with a break down of:

  • 7.53 million tones in New South Wales
  • 3.2 million tones in Victoria, and
  • 1.33 million tonnes in Queensland

By offering its mobile spare parts service Case IH has been doping its part to help wheat growers to ensure peak productivity at this time critical period.

Geoff Rendell, Case IH Product Manager, Hay and Harvest explained that it has been providing the Pro Harvest trailer as support for its dealer network across the eastern coast for the last seven years.

The Pro Harvest trailer helps to minimise downtime and the impacts that can occur with unexpected equipment issues.  When customers require repairs their local Case IH dealer will contact the support trailer to arrange for delivery of the parts, whatever the time of day or night.

Geoff said “The trailer is essentially a mobile parts warehouse, equipped with more than 6,800 individual parts covering everything from transmissions and drives to gearboxes and windscreens.”

The Case IH Pro Harvest spare parts trailer travels south from St George, Queensland and does its best to be within 300 kilometres of peak harvest activity at all times. After Queensland the trailer continues on to Horsham in Victoria, via Gilgandra in central NSW and West Wyalong.

Although Case IH dealers stock a range of spare parts, there are many parts that won’t normally be carried.  The spare parts trailer helps by carrying a range of uncommon parts that would otherwise need to be freighted from Sydney.

Geoff finishes “From fixing a pressure switch to replacing the radiator, the Pro Harvest trailer has earned itself a reputation over the years for keeping our customers on track… helping contractors and growers to get back up and running quickly after an equipment issue,”
