On 30th January this year, York was hit by a massive storm which resulted in widespread damage to the town. Wind gusts of up to 120 km/hr per hour tore roofs from houses and trees out of the ground. Ten houses were completely destroyed and 1200 homes and businesses were left without power.

One year ago, Commercial Netmakers Pty Ltd built a 10,000 m² facility for a client that was right in the heart of the storm. Recently, they inspected the premises for damage to the net. They are pleased to report that the structure was solid as the day it was finished.

The netting had stretched, which is to be expected, but a simple re-tensioning of the netting structure is all that was needed.

And more significantly, the structural integrity of the facility remained. No poles, cables or anchors had moved or stretched during the storm.
