Quality wool producing stud sires from Coora Corriedales
Coora Corriedales focuses on breeding productive commercial Corriedale sheep with quality wool. Coora Corriedales has used several Corriedale sheep in 2008 that produce quality white soft wool. The different animals used are Coora 225 (2004), Coora 98 (2005), Coora 58 (2006), Coora 90 (2006), Coora 200 (2006) among others.
Coora 225 (2004) ram was the healthy offspring of 107 drop in 2004. He can produce white soft wool that belongs to the Cluny type. He won the Lambplan classes held at Bendigo and Hamilton in 2007. Ram named Coora 98 (2005) from Coora Corriedales was one of the heaviest ram with his EBV’s at top 1 per cent for WWT, YWT, PWWT and YGFWT. His wool is being well marked in the market.
Coora 58 (2006) is a trait leader and has a 10 per cent of WWT, PWWT and a positive result for its PEMD. Coora 58 (2006) has good feet and quality bright wool. Longfield 529 (2004) was a sire of Coora 58 (2006). Coora 90 (2006) is also sired by Longfield 259 (2004). Coora 58 (2006) provides extra length carcase.
Coora 200 (2006) from Coora Corriedales was selected for 107 and 327 line for its wool quality and ASBV’s balance that includes a negative ASBV for PWEC. Coora 107 (2006) from Coora Corriedales was used as a backup for 200 (2006).
