Insecticide Synergists - Synergy Insecticides

Crop Care’s Synergy insecticide for use as a synergist when applying synthetic pyrethroids in cotton, tomatoes and cucurbits.

Benefits of Synergy Insecticide
  • For use as a synergist when applying synthetic pyrethroid insecticides in cotton and in a tank mixture with Talstar 250EC Insecticide/Miticide for the control of silverleaf whitefly, sweet potato whitefly and corn earworm in cucurbits, tomato care and vegetable care
  • This product is intended solely for use as a synergist when applying ultra low volume or emulsifiable concentrate formulations of synthetic pyrethroid insecticides in cotton, or when applying Talstar 250EC in cucurbits and tomatoes
  • Synergy can be degraded by UV light so for best results avoid spraying in the middle of the day or during peak UV intensity
  • When used as a synergist better results may be obtained on crops that are sprayed at night or late in the evening
  • Synergy contains Piperonyl Butoxide 800g/L
Cucurbits Cotton and Tomato Crops
After significant formulation experimentation and development alongside in field trials, Crop Care have commercially available a novel and UV stabalised formulation of Piperonyl butoxide called Synergy®.
  • The active ingredient in Synergy Insecticide Synergist (Piperonyl butoxide) can suppress the esterase enzyme that causes pyrethroid resistance in H.armigera and (B-biotype Bemisia tabaci)
  • As a result, Synergy’s ability to suppress and inhibit esterase activity can significantly improve levels of pyrethroid efficacy when used as a tank mix partner
  • Traditionally used in cotton, Synergy now has updated registrations for the control of silverleaf whitefly, sweet potato whitefly and corn earworm, when used as a tankmix partner with Talstar 100EC
