The Australian Annual 2009 Wine Industry Suppliers Association (WISA) supplier of the year awards were held the National Wine Centre in Adelaide, South Australia on 31 July.

Croplands Equipment were awarded the WBM Innovation Award for their role in conjunction with New Zealand Orhcardist George Eady and research institute SARDI for the development of the Quantum Mist fan crop spraying technology and the commercial distribution of this equipment within the viticulture market.

The WBM Innovation award recognises either a product, business system or service improvement that demonstrates novelty, usefulness, and market and wine industry benefit. This has assisted in vineyard growing practices with efficiency, cost management, and environmental improvement.

The crop spraying equipment is available in two sizes QM500 (500mm diameter) and QM380 (380mm diameter) and the fans can be fitted in a variety of configurations from single, two, three (or more) in many configurations. Each spray head is fully adjustable to achieve the best spray coverage and when fitted to one of Croplands reliable and easy to use units, provides the complete crop protection sprayer.

Croplands is committed to continuously improving spray application technology whilst providing safe, environmentally sound and effective products to grape growers and the viticultural market.
