Davey Water Products , a wholly owned subsidiary of the Australian public company GUD Holdings, has been a firmly established Australian manufacturer of pumping and water solutions for more than 75 years.

With over 75% of the extensive Davey product range locally manufactured, Davey has been inducted into the Australian Made Australian Grown industry support program.

Davey’s General Manager Marketing Colin Nash says that Davey is proud to manufacture many of its products in Australia and undertakes all its product research and development locally.

Davey is a lean manufacturer and has recently achieved the key environmental standard ISO14001 for its Melbourne manufacturing centre.

“We employ over 200 people directly at our Scoresby manufacturing centre and also support significant local parts and components suppliers.

“Davey is not only a market leader in Australia but is an extensive exporter, particularly to the Middle East, the USA and the Asia Pacific region.

“Davey is renowned locally and overseas for its innovation and dependability.

“Our FireFighter range is Australia’s most popular and trusted pump to protect homes in danger.

“Joining the Australian Made campaign highlights our commitment to supporting local industry but helps consumers know our products are produced by quality methods and always with the environment in mind,” Nash says.

In presenting Davey CEO Carsten Andersen with a certificate recognising Davey’s participation Ian Harrison Chief Executive of Australian Made Australian Grown noted, “We are delighted to welcome Davey Water Products as a licensed user of the Australian Made logo.

“Local manufacturing plays a vital role in our nation’s economy so it is tremendous to see Davey Water Products utilising the famous green and gold symbol to emphasise that its goods are Australian.”

”The Davey brand will now represent what we believe Australia Made represents; global quality, good value, high standards and clean and green.”
