World Merino Conference and Elders Fleece Competition 2006

Elders believe that the rationalising size of the wool industry necessitates the need for all industry participants to work together to ensure the sustainability and strength of the industry going forward. One example of this is Elders sponsorship, second only to Australian Wool Innovation, of the 2006 World Merino Conference to be held in Perth in July. For more information on the World Merino Conference please see the website below:

The Elders 2006 Australasian Fleece Competition will be held in Katanning to tie in with the World Merino Conference. This Competition is an annual event featuring fleeces from across Australia, but for the first time will also showcase fleeces from New Zealand- adding a new dimension to the competition. Prize winners receive international recognition and prizes from BWK Elders and Queensland based company Merino Country.

All wool growers in Australia and New Zealand are invited to participate in the Elders Fleece Competition and can find out more information from their local District Wool Manager.
