2010 exhibitors prospectus for Elmore Field Days released

Supplier News

The Prospectus for Exhibitors for the 2010 Elmore and District Machinery Field Days to be held on October 5, 6, and 7 has just been released. The closing date for site applications for the 47th annual Elmore Field Days is Wednesday 16 June, 2010. In line with the Field Days' policy, the scope for new exhibitors is determined by the availability of display site space and by showing a demonstrated relevance to the agricultural products and services, farm machinery and related technology theme of the Field Days.

Elmore is the only Victorian Field Days event which carries the endorsement of the Tractor & Machinery Association, and Darren Trewick , Field Days president notes in the Prospectus that the three day exhibition is effectively a giant ‘warehouse’ for all types of agricultural pursuits. “We offer something for everyone in the way of machinery, products and services embracing virtually everything from viticulture to dairying, livestock, broadacre cropping and for the hobby or small scale farm enterprise."

Current issues will be covered at the Field Days event, with the Committee viewing the in-paddock demonstrations of a diverse range of machines as an important feature. The “Ewes for the Future Trial” continues for the second year in a row, with the five breeds of sheep – First Cross, Merino, Centreplus, Dohne and SAMM sheep on display. Important information on the best lamb mothers, their productivity and value of the lambs, providing important information for all sheep producers will be discussed.

Darren Trewick adds that his Committee is determined to make the three days as relevant and successful as those which have precede it.

“We continue to develop the Elmore Events Centre site through the creation of additional facilities with the newly created equestrian facility which is now  established on a previously underutilized area of the 154 ha site already proving to be a major asset for equestrian competitions and training. We have also completed a major new administration building complex on the site so that all our management and services personnel are now situated on the Site itself” Mr. Trewick notes.

All the traditional Field Days events including the major general interest exhibits and the Ag Art Wear feature which attract all members of the family are also scheduled as normal. Prospective new exhibitors are invited to contact the office immediately for an Expression of Interest form.
