Etiwanda White Dorper Stud has its own fully accredited Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) embryo & semen collection centre for both International and Australian clients. The Etiwanda White Dorper Stud centre is licensed to collect embryos & semen from the White Dorper sheep.
Embryo transfer takes place on Etiwanda White Dorper Stud each year from February to April in line which is the peak breeding season for the White Dorpers. With the help of embryo transfer, clients can have access to elite ewes and rams and also takes the advantage of their White Dorper genetic knowledge, breeding, Embryo Transfer skill, and sourcing quality genetics from both South Africa and Australia. In LAMBPLAN the traits that are used to measure and record comprise of Sire and Dam, post weaning weight, yearling weight, date of birth, birth type and rearing type (ie single twin etc), weaning weight, post weaning eye muscle depth, post weaning fat depth and scrotal circumference.
