The Sydney Royal Cattle Show is one of Australia’s most prestigious cattle shows. It often attracts international judges and the value of winning a Sydney Royal ribbon is immense. A Champion ribbon, in particular, often leads to record sale prices for the winners.

The show recognises six breeds of dairy cattle and up to 30 breeds of beef cattle. Exhibitors from all over Australia are invited to enter the competition and the show generally receives around 400 dairy cattle nominations and 1,200 beef cattle nominations.

When is the Sydney Royal Cattle Show?

It takes place at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, from Thursday 5 April - Wednesday 18 April, 2012.
