Compact ROV video inspection cameras are utilised by Gippsland Remote Imaging Systems for a range of underwater inspections, including:

  • Hull inspections
  • Checking if antifouling paint is still doing its job
  • Checking if cathodic protection anodes are intact
  • Checking if cooling intakes and outlets are clear
  • Checking if props and steering gear is OK
  • Looking for leaks
The underwater ROV inspection cameras can even be used to look for passengers' items lost overboard. They are extremely agile underwater and can “freeze” in mid-flight to get a steady picture of their surroundings.

A remotely-controlled manipulator can also be attached to these video inspection cameras to either retrieve small objects or carry out particularly fiddly little jobs in extremely confined spaces.
