The Compact Evolution from Goldacres  is a best-selling range of trailing broadacre sprayers known for their durability, simplicity and precision spray application.  

The trailing Compact Evolution has now been redesigned with a range of improvements adding to the machine’s strength and usability. Popular among croppers and pasture growers alike, Goldacres’ Compact Evolution broadacre sprayers are available in tank sizes of 1200, 1500, 2000 or 2500 litres with a manual folding boom in 6m to 12m options as well as 1500, 2000 and 2500 litres with a Delta hydraulic lift and folding boom in 12m to 21m options.  

According to Goldacres’ Stephen Richards, the Compact Evolution offers simple operation with a rugged build and is designed to provide a high level of spraying accuracy for farmers and contractors. Compact Evolution broadacre sprayers have typically been used by croppers and pasture growers including dairy and cattle farmers.  

First introduced in 2004, the Compact range has gone through a program of continuous improvement with various design features and performance revisions added over the years.  

Key enhancements in the Compact Evolution broadacre sprayers:  

  • Lengthened chassis improves travel characteristics, allowing users more access to the side modules 
  • Boom suspension and folding structure redesigned to provide a more seamless and refined integration with the main tank 
  • Boom wing revised to fold more concisely into the unit for a streamlined effect and improved travel width 
  • Delta boom with a strengthened main section for added durability 
  • Boom cylinder adjusters fitted 
  • Main flush tank size increased from 45 litres to 100 litres to improve usability 
  • 23-litre hand wash tank with a soap dispenser integrated for added user protection 
  • Improved boom performance from fitting increased size paralift cylinders, which deliver faster lifting times 
  • Front of tank area redesigned to a more refined look with new hand rail and larger work platform 
  • New boom rests with strengthened gusseting lower the height of the boom cradle while adding to durability and eliminating catch points 
  • New Udor 140 PTO driven pump 
  • Hydraulic hose containment
Stephen explains that the enhancements have been done to meet the twin objectives of improving the design as well as the engineering functionality.  

He adds that farmers and contractors will notice the improvements in the trailing Compact Evolution range, which are designed to add durability and extend the service life of the machine, as well as add usability to improve productivity.
