Hillcreston Park Merino Stud  rears Superfine Merino breeds of sheep, suitable for the commercial wool marketing industry. Established in 1910, Hillcreston Park Merino Stud started its sheep husbandry and wool production business by purchasing Collaroy blood ewes from G. D. Hay stud. Using traditional breeding strategies, Hillcreston Park Merino Stud breeds genetically stable and consistent bloodlines of meat sheep. Hillcreston Park Merino Stud maintains breeding history and performance traits of each of its sheep breeds.

Superfine Merino breeds of sheep have good meat and wool yield qualities. Hillcreston Park Merino Stud has won the first Cheilain Award of Excellence for its superfine grades of wool. Quality of wool can be determined on the basis of fleece style, colour, fiber diameter and staple length. Hillcreston Park Merino Stud consistently produces 1PP certified superfine wool. 1PP certificates are given for high quality superfine wool. Hillcreston Park Merino Stud organises private sales events and shows for distributing distinct breeds of commercial quality sheep.

Commercial sheep breeders and wool marketers can benefit from the sheep breeding and sales services offered by Hillcreston Park Merino Stud. Hillcreston Park Merino Stud also offers classing services to wool marketers and sheep breeders.
