Now available from Fresh Automation , Black Ice fruit harvesters feature a unique harvesting design that removes fruit from brushes by vigorously blowing air from multiple fans, greatly reducing the incidence of bush trauma to plants.

By decreasing the amount of trauma during picking, fruit bushes picked by Black Ice harvesters have a greater chance of remaining healthy and more frost resistant.

This design is so effective, in fact, that Black Ice fruit harvesters can be used to harvest the same row day after day, and can also be used to harvest soft fruits such as raspberries and boysenberries.

In addition, the gentle Centipede Scale System (CSS) used rolls with the bush, helping to minimise the potential of scarring the bush and introducing disease.

Black Ice harvesters:

  • increase fruit shelf life
  • improve fruit quality
  • reduce the amount of manual labour required for picking
  • can pick fruit such as blueberries, grapes, grape tomatoes, olives , raspberries and jatropha; and
  • reduce bush trauma.
