Inlon Agrimec Group are pleased to announce they have been appointed the exclusive Australian distributor of Shibaura compact and garden tractors and out-front mowers from Japan.

Shibaura has been a trusted name in Australia for compact tractors and out front mowers for many years, being distributed in Australia by Case IH over the past 10 years. Inlon’s Managing Director Mr Jim Jardim said, “our appointment is a great opportunity to develop a market share in the growing grounds care and lifestyle farm sectors, with a great range of superbly styled, soundly engineered and impeccably finished tractors and out-front mowers”.

Shibaura has an extensive range of compact tractors from 18 to 45 horsepower with hydrostatic and mechanical transmission with several new models being developed and expected in late 2005.

The ST range has 5 models from 18 to 33 hp, in hydrostatic or gear transmission, with modern styling and exceptional standard features including mid and rear PTO, 3-point linkage, cruise control, multi-range hydrostatic transmission, 4-wheel drive, powered by quiet low emission fuel efficient Tier II Shibaura diesel engines. The combination of engine power and transmission gives excellent ground speed when mowing with Shibaura mid mount mower decks. Mr Jardim said “ The strength of the tractor design is evident from its appearance and high total weight compared to most competitors”. All models are complete with a two-post folding ROPS and a choice of agricultural or turf tyres equipment.

The ST445 will be a competitively priced 45 horsepower tractor with a full synchromesh gearbox with column mounted synchro-shuttle; ideal for front-end loader applications. By late 2005, the ST445 model will be redesigned with state of art styling that matches the rest of the ST family of tractors.

The SX series of garden tractors, 21 and 24 horsepower, is a new model being released in Australia for the first time by Inlon. Like its ST cousins the SX range combines modern styling and finish with a market leading range of standard features. The operators station is a flat unobstructed platform with excellent entry clearance from either side, modern dash display protected by a foldable two-post ROPS safety frame. The driveline is a 2 range hydrostatic 4WD transmission with cruise control. Both a mid and rear PTO with 3-point linkage is standard. The optional Shibaura mid mount mower deck has excellent ground clearance with full cut height control conveniently located at the operators side with a hydraulic raise/lower.

“Shibaura offers an superb range of products for the grounds care and small farm sector”, said Mr Jardim, “and Inlon is excited to be distributing and supporting the product in Australia.”
