Leica Geosystems adds new iNEX mapping and guidance display to ag products

Supplier News

Leica Geosystems  announces the release of the Leica iNEX, a full-function mapping and guidance display with a large, colour touch-screen. The Leica iNEX mapping and guidance display is a truly versatile solution that can be fully integrated with the Leica mojoRTK auto-steer system to offer advanced functionality, or purchased as a standalone guidance system for use with most GPS receivers.

Users can see exactly where they have been working and get an accurate visual representation of every application from the real-time mapping functionality, along with a simple virtual road to display the line of steering. Storing multiple vehicle setups and recording paddock information is made easy with the Field Data Recording feature, which allows for the recall of farm specific data at the touch of the screen.

To accommodate different field setups, the Leica iNEX mapping and guidance display comes with AB parallel, A+ heading and Lock adaptive curve guidance patterns as standard, along with unlimited storage for all guidance points and waylines to give users repeatability from year to year. Customers also have the option of upgrading to an advanced guidance package that includes pivot auto-steer and Leica’s unique RePLAY feature, which allows users to recall a previously driven path for auto-steer or visual guidance.

“The Leica iNEX is the first product to arise from Leica Geosystems’ acquisition of Rinex Technology last October,” says Glenn Clark, Leica Geosystems business manager Agriculture for Australia and New Zealand. “The iNEX reflects the synergy that has been gained by combining Rinex Technology’s strengths in mapping, data management and automated section control with Leica Geosystems’ state-of-the-art positioning and measurement technology to offer Australian farmers advanced guidance and mapping solutions that are easy to use.”

To ensure that customers only pay for the features they want and need, the Leica iNEX mapping and guidance display is built with the same modular software platform as Leica’s mojoRTK to provide the flexibility to upgrade at any time. And, when connected to a mojoRTK auto-steer system, all software upgrades for the Leica iNEX mapping and guidance display can be delivered remotely via Leica Geosystems’ unique remote service and support tool, Virtual Wrench.

Upgrade options include AutoSPRAY, Leica Geosystems’ automated section control software, which reduces input costs by virtually eliminating overlap in spraying and seeding applications by automatically switching sections on or off.

QA records and farm management are made easy with Leica’s Advanced Data Recording upgrade, allowing users to manage historical farm data and keep track of all paddocks, products and vehicles automatically from the iNEX interface.
