Lencrow Group  has entered into a five year fleet management agreement with Australian Bakels for its operations in Sydney. Under the deal, Bakels will be able to invest in the latest forklift technologies while gradually replacing old stock.

Organisations like Bakels generally want fleet management as well as machine purchases. Fleet management covers the maintenance and supply of forklifts. It eliminates the need for companies to hire extra staff to manage the fleet.

Bakels distribution centre manager, Bram Marsman says, “We were looking for a company that provides all in one fleet management solutions.” Other factors that influenced the decision to enter the agreement were dependability and reliability.

Australian Bakels manufactures specialised bakery and food items which it supplies mainly to industry. Their current fleet includes forty forklifts of various types and configurations. After a thorough site survey of these vehicles by Lencrow’s Sales Manager Ross Smith it was found that six units required immediate attention. These six units have now been ordered with deliveries expected in March.

Retirement units over the period will be progressively replaced enabling Bakels to operate with maximum efficiency, ensuring a safe environment for workers. The agreement is mutually beneficial and will see supplied forklifts maintained by Lencrow’s service fleet.
