presented their products at various regional locations during the field days season this year in WA.
Midalia’s ‘Big Rig’ showcased Midalia Steel products to rural communities at some of the prominent field days on the WA rural calendar including Dowerin GWN7 Machinery Field Days, Newdegate Agricultural Field Days and The Lions Mingenew Midwest Expo.
Midalia’s field day tour began at Dowerin, located 180km north east of Perth. From its early days in 1965 with just 20 exhibitors, Dowerin now hosts one of the largest and most impressive agricultural expos in Australia with over 750 exhibitors. Midalia has been a part of GWN7 Dowerin Machinery Field Days from the very beginning and was proud to exhibit at their 48th consecutive show this year.
The next stop for Midalia was Newdegate, about 450km South East of Perth. Newdegate Machinery Field Days celebrated its 40th anniversary this year and ‘The Australian Year of the Farmer’, an initiative focussing on excellence and diversity within the agricultural industry. The show attracts 12,000 visitors with over 180 exhibitors.
Midalia helped bring the show to life, proudly sponsoring the radio network for the event and winning the ‘Best Light Industry Display Award’.
Big Rig’s final stop was Mingenew, located 400km north of Perth, just past the coastal hotspot of Dongara. Set on the town’s racecourse and attracting visitors from the Midwest and surrounding areas, the Lions Mingenew Midwest Expo offers patrons the unique opportunity to interact with industry dealers and get hands-on with the latest agricultural machinery.
The expo also offered school students the chance to showcase and compare works developed in the classroom. As the main sponsor of this great initiative, Midalia Steel was particularly impressed with the level of talent in this year’s ‘Midalia Steel Fabrication and Woodwork Competition’.
