Workshop highlighting the importance of soil health for profitable and sustainable farming systems, soon to be held by Munash

Supplier News

Munash  are holding an interactive Soil Health and Sustainable Living Workshop created to give primary producers and agribusiness the skills to rejuvenate their soil in order to achieving increased profitability and sustainability from their farming systems.

The Soil Health and Sustainable Living Workshop will include expert advice from Professor Stuart Hill, who will use his qualifications and experience to shed light on the challenges facing agriculture and society today. Professor Hill believes that "deep sustainability means transforming, not reforming agriculture.”

The full day Soil Health and Sustainable Living Workshop is no ordinary soil workshop as the focus is a social ecology approach. "It is about how to use nature as a model and source of inspiration," says Professor Hill. Topics the workshop will cover include:

  • how to increase yields and profits by achieving soil health
  • detoxifying the soil to get things working; and
  • reconnecting with the soil will achieve optimum health.

“Participants are encouraged to bring along questions and take the opportunity to get the answers they need,” says Mr Ian Munro, Managing Director of Munash Natural Fertilizers. Mr Munro will speak about using natural fertilizers to achieve balanced soils, optimal soil fertility and a secure farming future.

The Soil Health and Sustainable living workshop will be held on Thursday 11th February 2010 at the Grenfell Bowling Club, NSW.
