New Holland’s pink tractors for breast cancer fundraising

Supplier News

Alarmingly breast cancer is the most invasive cancer diagnosed in Australian women today and is the leading cause of cancer related deaths in females. With 36 women diagnosed everyday it is sadly a disease that has touched many lives and will unfortunately see one in eight women diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85.

As part of a countrywide program to assist in raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and following on from the success of the New Holland after sales pink toy tractor promotion, New Holland is taking it one step further and has painted five New Holland compact tractors pink. These units will be sold across the country and $1,000 from the sale of each will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

They also have an additional 50 limited edition units available with National Breast Cancer Foundation decals and $500 from the sale of each of these will also be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Two of New Holland's key suppliers have assisted in the logistical side of the promotion with the team at Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) providing their services free of charge to paint the tractors and ensure they were ready for the various field days, while the staff at Gunn Freight are shipping the units free of charge around the country. Both companies have provided exceptional support which has allowed New Holland to focus on ensuring all available funds are going to where it counts- the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

New Holland Marketing Manager Simon Vigour today said, "Breast cancer is a disease that doesn't discriminate and can effects us all. Unfortunately throughout our lives we will all know someone who has had breast cancer or is going through treatment. With this in mind providing funds to worthwhile organisations such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation.   to continue highly important research is one way we can assist in the fight against this horrible disease."

“Initiatives such as the New Holland Pink Tractor Campaign provide a vital contribution that allow the National Breast Cancer Foundation to continue its essential and life saving work. We are pleased to be involved with such a worthwhile Foundation that works tirelessly to improve the lives of everyday Australians”, said Simon.

The pink tractors will be on display at field days across the country over the coming months including Agquip, Dowerin, Ag Show in Toowoomba, Henty Machinery Field Days, Elmore Field Days, Paskeville Field Days and several other shows leading up to the end of the year.

Also on display at the field days will be a limited number of pink toy ride on tractors and scale models available for purchase.
