Eligible Pacific Seeds wheat variety growers will be able to claim a $5000 a tonne rebate on selected Clearfield Hyola hybrids purchased in the coming season.

According to Pacific Seeds Canola Business Manager, Justin Kudnig, the FCT wheat grower loyalty rebate is designed to both reward the company’s wheat and canola customers as well as demonstrate the company’s commitment to a whole of system approach.

Available to registered Pacific Seeds wheat growers who purchase Hyola 474CL or Hyola 575CL, the rebate is part of the Flexible Cropping Technology rationale the company brings to the winter cropping areas of Australia. This rebate also adds more value for the grower by making hybrid canola seed more affordable.

Pacific Seeds invests in the breeding of wheat and canola cultivars and is therefore able to have the long term vision regarding trait delivery and Herbicide Tolerant Technology to help farmers get the best out of their cereal and canola rotations.

Mr Kudnig explains that they are aware of the importance of high yields and oils in canola to canola growers’ success, but too often the herbicide tolerance benefits of the rotation are overlooked in much of the material directed at growers. While it is a very important cash crop, canola’s ability to set up for the subsequent cereal crop simply can’t be overstated. This is where the full range of Herbicide Tolerant Technologies comes into its own.

While Pacific Seeds offers hybrids in every HT group, including an innovative new Roundup Ready Triazine Tolerant Hybrid, this offer relates to two Clearfield hybrids. Group B herbicides work very well in the wheat rotation system, therefore it seemed fitting that the rebate offer encompassed two of Pacific Seeds’ Clearfield hybrid options.
