As a non-profit organisation, the Pastoralists and Graziers Association (PGA) represents the primary producers of wool, grain, meat and livestock.

PGA's mission statement is:

"To ensure the prosperity and long term viability of members, the agricultural and associated industries, by providing an effective voice statewide and federally through a financially sound, efficient, free enterprise organisation with strong leadership."

The Association supports a free market system to allow livestock producers to obtain the top market price for their own private property.

PGA believes that deregulated production and marketing through individual enterprises is the key to future sustainability of Australian agriculture.

The Association has formed a committee dedicated to working for the various sectors of primary production:

  • Economics and Business Management
  • Native Title Working Group
  • Pastoral
  • Private Property Rights and Natural Resources
  • Western Beef and Sheep Producers
  • Western Graingrowers

The Association has also developed a forum so that young people can also get involved in discussing issues that affect primary producers in Western Australia, as well as secure the future of pastoralism and intensive agriculture
