Phibro Animal Health  provides PhibroMonensin 100, an ionophore that is used to improve the feed efficiency in feedlot cattle. Each PhibroMonensin 100 is designed with an active ingredient known as the polyether antibiotic taken from Streptomyces cinnamonsis.

PhibroMonensin 100 can be used as a feed additive for cattle and poultry. PhibroMonensin 100 is a commercial product that include ingredients like corn grits, rice hulls and many more along with a 2 per cent mineral oil as an anti-dusting ingredient. PhibroMonensin 100 is harmful when customers come in contact with the skin or if it is swallowed.

Phibro Animal Health provides certain personal protection for customers using PhibroMonensin 100. The protection manual is based on Australian Standards with general advice regarding safety clothing and equipment such as respiratory equipment, protective gloves, industrial clothing, industrial eye protection and occupational protective footwear.

PhibroMonensin 100 is unlikely to react or decompose under normal storage conditions. PhibroMonensin 100 is recommended to be stored in a cool place below 30 degree Celsius. It is also unlikely to undergo polymerisation processes. PhibroMonensin 100 is biodegradable and it will not accumulate in either soil or water. PhibroMonensin is also used to aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in chickens, cattle and goats.
