Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF) is a healthy cropping system, which delivers production, environmental, and efficiency benefits.

CTF separates paddocks into two sections:

  • A section which provides a healthy well structured soil for promoting crop growth
  • A section which provides a roadway for supporting vehicles and machinery
Research and on-farm experiences suggest that continuous cropping systems perform extremely well under a zero till, controlled traffic farming, stubble retention farming system.

Precision Agriculture offer assistance with machinery investment plans and farm and paddock layouts. They can also offer general advice on Controlled Traffic Farming in areas such as weed control, rough wheeltracks, etc; and they can guide clients to articles relating to specific CTF topics.
