The Food & Agribusiness Research and Advisory division of Rabobank has appointed analyst Lloyd Setter to its animal proteins research team.

Mr Setter will join some 80 analysts at the bank’s research division who undertake high-quality research and analysis of the agricultural sector globally. He will be responsible for covering the Australian and New Zealand beef and sheepmeat industries, with an additional focus on wool.

Rabobank Food & Agribusiness Research and Advisory head Luke Chandler said Mr Setter would be a valuable addition to Rabobank’s animal proteins research team, committed to providing relevant information and support to the bank’s clients and stakeholders.

According to Mr Chandler, Mr Setter has a proven academic history in agriculture, which makes him an excellent addition to Rabobank’s research division, further bolstering the bank’s animal proteins research coverage.

Dedicated to analysing developments in food and agricultural markets for Rabobank and its clients, the local Australian and New Zealand FAR team is part of a global network of food and agriculture research analysts spread across every major production and consumption region of the world.

Mr Setter was raised on a family cattle property near Wilton in the Southern Highlands region of New South Wales, went on to study at Hurlstone Agricultural High School, and graduated with honours from Sydney University with a bachelor of Agricultural Economics.

With a longstanding passion for the agriculture industry, Mr Setter said he is embracing the opportunity to join Rabobank.

Mr Setter looks forward to combining his background and study into a fulfilling role in agribusiness research and advisory at Rabobank. He was inspired to work for Rabobank because of the investment made and the importance placed on industry knowledge in supporting their clients.
