When a group of Resource Consulting Services agricultural entrepreneurs met to discuss rural business management they came up with an idea which would eventually end up raising over $4,500 for Angel Flight.

The Resource Consulting Services Executive Link (EL) group meet in Yeppoon three times a year. The highly successful agricultural consultancy program enables rural producers to meet in a positive and structured environment to gain new knowledge as well as to work in depth on their own rural business management with support of Resource Consulting Services facilitators and other rural business owners.

The most recent meeting saw the group come up with an idea to showcase the talents of Resource Consulting Services EL members and other rural artists with an art and craft exhibition and talent evening, with proceeds going to Angel Flight, providers of free air transportation to patients in need of medical treatment at distant hospitals.

Some of the artists who exhibited their works included Ruth Jones of Comet, Wendy Gibson of Rolleston, Rob Bauman of Middlemount and Belinda Rowbotham of Longreach.

Brian Dawson of BD Auctions Rockhampton, donated his time and auctioneering talents to the evening. Greg Rea, a past EL member, provided the entertainment for the evening along with Anita Davison, Barry Hughes, Vanessa Herring, Clintin Hughes and Simon Terry who also proved their talents with the microphone.

The group hope to hosting another fundraising auction in 2010.
