The South Queensland and Northern New South Wales Region of the Australian Alpaca Association Ltd (AAA QLDNSW) caters to the interests of alpaca breeders in Northern NSW and Southern Queensland.

The association is a division of the Australian Alpaca Association, and covers all those areas situated between Coffs Harbour in the south, Brisbane in the north, and Toowoomba in the North West.

A newsletter, The Alpaca Advocate, is produced and distributed by the association on a quarterly basis for the benefit of alpaca breeders in the region.

The newsletter contains educational information in the form of studies, reports and advice, event details and current industry news.

Members of the association are actively involved in regional field days and shows, including Alpacas on Show, the Royal Queensland Show, Gold Coast Agricultural Show and Lismore Agricultural show.

The association also encourages alpaca breeders to attend educational workshops, seminars and courses as they provide opportunities for individual skill development and promote the adoption of more effective alpaca breeding practices.

Member details are located on the association’s website, which allows for alpaca breeders to communicate with one another and buy, sell or swap alpacas for breeding or other purposes.

For the benefit of alpaca breeders, the website also features a stud male register.

The association is comprised of alpaca breeders who are passionate about alpacas, and they work to continuously improve the quality of their herds.

The association provides alpaca breeders with the resources, information and support to do so.
