The hybrid wheat-breeding programme from Sunprime Seeds is focused on development of high yield disease resistant hybrid.

The Durum varieties of grain offered by Sunprime Seeds include Kalka, Zulu and WID 22209. The Kalka range of Durum wheat grows with moderate height. The flowering process occurs between early to mid season. The Kalka grains are resistant against stripe, stem and leaf rust. It is moderately resistant against yellow leaf spot and it is moderately sensitive to cereal eelworm and Septoria triticiiblotch.

The WID22209 variety of Durum grain matures during mid season. Excellent yield potential of this type of Durum grain is found in countries like Queensland and New South Wales. The WID22209 is rust resistant grain and it has good level of tolerance against black point and sprouting. Zulu is a feed grain variety and it has high yield potential in irrigated and dry land production system. It is resistant to stripe, leaf and stem resistant rust pathotypes.
