Breeding programmes from The Ultimate Murray Greys
The Ultimate Murray Greys has been breeding Murray Greys since 1992. The females Murray Greys of The Ultimate Murray Greys are from Fuseland, Boomerang Park and Wheelview. The females of The Ultimate Murray Greys are selected based on traits such as fertility, conformation, temperament, carcase and milking ability. The sire selection of The Ultimate Murray Greys is based on traits like temperament, ability and carcase.
The Ultimate Murray Greys have also used Artificial Insemination (AI) for breeding Murray Greys which as most recently become difficult with frequent drought condition ever since the formation of studs. The Ultimate Murray Greys performs Genestar tests for marbling and tenderness on some of the fine lineages in order to achieve distinguished results. The Ultimate Murray Greys undertook the ET program implanting 16 embryos which were purchased from Glenliam Farm and Monterey during 2003.
