Thoroughbred Breeders New South Wales Ltd (TBNSW) is a non-profit organisation that works to promote the breeders of thoroughbred horses in the state of NSW and the horses themselves.

TBNSW is officially recognised by Australia’s National and State Governments, race clubs, the Australian Stud Book, the Australian Horse Council, and many more important industry bodies, as the authorised representative of the Thoroughbred breeding industry in NSW.

The association thus plays an important role in representing thoroughbreds and their breeders when issues affecting the industry arise.

Furthermore, TBNSW offers both its members and the general public information and advice relating to the thoroughbred horses and the broader industry.

The association distributes a publication for its members, industry participans and the general public on a quarterly basis.

This publication is comprised of the latest industry news and useful information about thoroughbred horses.

Membership subscriptions, along with funds allocated from the association’s federal body, Thoroughbred Breeders Australia, are the two main sources of income for TBNSW.

A president, vice-president/treasurer and seven directors comprise the association’s committee, and they are elected by members.

The committee meets at least four times per year, and each November an Annual General Meeting is held.

Membership with TBNSW brings with it many benefits, including:

  • Free copy of two annual publicatons - ‘Stallions’ and ‘The Miller’s Guide’
  • Business and stallion listings on the association’s website
  • A 50% discount when purchasing the G1 Goldmine Research Program
  • Regular industry news updates
  • Invitations to industry events
  • Discount prices for industry seminars

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in thoroughbred horses.
