Queensland based machinery distribution firm V.P.M. supply commercial vehicles manufactured by Tata. V.P.M. are sole distributors of Tata vehicles in Australia. Filters manufactured by Baldwin, lubricants from Total and cement mixers from Lino Sella are also supplied by V.P.M.
Three models of Tata vehicles - Single cab cab chassis, Dual cab cab chassis and Dual cab style side - are available at V.P.M. All these vehicles are powered by indirect injection turbo charged intercooled diesel engines at a capacity of 1948 cc. These vehicles are designed with hydraulically actuated single plate diaphragm clutches with sychromesh on all gears.
Fuel tank capacity of the single cab cab chassis is 60 litres whereas the other two models have a capacity of 50 litres. The single cab model is designed with bucket seats which can seat two. The other two vehicles are fitted with bucket seats at the front and fixed bench seat at rear and have a seating capacity of five.
Maximum speed achieved by these vehicles at rated GVM is 122 kmh. Mileage given by these vehicles is 9.5-10 km/litre on the city roads and 10.5-11 km/litre on the highway.
