YLAD Living Soils Field Day a carbon neutral event

Supplier News

Carbon off-setting is a way to reduce or compensate for the production of greenhouse gas emissions.

A carbon audit was produced, by Anthony Foo, to calculate the emissions for running the YLAD Living Soils Field Day, including transportation of speakers to Young, both locally and internationally.

YLAD Living Soils made the decision to run their Field Day carbon neutral to illustrate to the community that there are forms of offsets that can be used to reduce our carbon footprint.

YLAD Living Soils purchased carbon off-sets from Prime Carbon, a voluntary carbon trading scheme operating in Australia.

By purchasing offsets from Prime Carbon YLAD Living Soils is illustrating their commitment to finding long term solutions that will benefit our future as well as achieving the Government’s target of a 5% reduction in carbon emissions by 2020.
